Can the application fee be waived?

No, the $65 application fee helps cover the cost of processing and retaining application documents, this fee is also nonrefundable.

Are the units transferable?

Yes, the 3 units of elective credit are transferable to other universities or colleges, but it’s up to that specific school to accept those units. It’s a good idea to keep a copy of the course syllabus for your records.

My teacher didn’t get the invitation to do my recommendation or upload my transcript, what do I do?

If your teacher or counselor did not receive the email request sent from noreply@mail.smapply.net, they can email us at summer@usc.edu and we will help them troubleshoot access to your request.  Please note that the application portal login page is the same for applicants and recommenders.

I am an international student currently attending a high school in the US already. Do I have to submit the English proficiency?

Yes, all international students are required to demonstrate English proficiency through test scores or the waiver.

Are there scholarships or any financial aid available?

Unfortunately, financial aid or assistance is not offered for the Summer Programs.

I am a USC employee, can I use my tuition benefits for my student to attend the program?

No, tuition benefits no longer apply to the summer programs.

I’m only interested in 1 course. What should I put for my second and third choice courses?

You can select the same course for all three choices on the online application.

Can a student arrive late or depart early from the program?

No, all students are required to attend all classes beginning Monday, June 20, 2022 through Friday, July 15, 2022.
